When a large tree fell and crushed most of the park, a new one was built and dedicated in the late Spring of 2002. You and your little ones won’t want to miss this fun park. It is not fenced in however. There are two play areas both on wood chips. The toddlers have two swings, a helicopter, a playhouse, a coil rocking horse and a small metal and plastic gym with plastic slide. There is a sand pit area with an excavator and a clever platform with a water spout for mixing and watching the mess pour down through the tunnels. Bring a change of clothes. The big kid area has three swings, a tire swing and an enormous labyrinth of a metal and plastic ladders and tunnels to keep any child or monkey busy for a long time. There is limited shade, a few benches and picnic tables, a gazebo with picnic and barbecue that can be reserved and a cheerful hand-painted tile wall. There is a drinking fountain that is positioned rather high perhaps to keep clogging sand shovels at bay. Beyond this play area are four tennis courts, barbecue and picnic area and a curious cement waterfall that lies dormant among gorgeous well cared for lawns and flowers.
