This cozy little park under the redwoods has just been renovated. It is fenced-in and borders a creek. There is plenty of shade and street parking. There are two main areas of play: one for toddlers over sand and the other for older kids on wood chips. In each area are swing sets with two age appropriate swings. Note that these are on opposite ends of the park. In the toddler area there is a sand “water” pump with platforms and bamboo troughs, a tricky four sided teeter totter waits to be ridden and a tall red pyramid rope climber looks inviting, but it might be more appropriate for older kids. A log playhouse sits next to a sandbox and small wooden climbing structure and a large wooden play structure with many things to occupy your little one. There are a few tiny tables with stump seating to recall the original redwood tree stumps used the same way. In the big kid’s area is a tire swing and a sit spinner we nicknamed a swirly gurly. Don’t eat first. The large play structure here has plenty to do. It’s made of wood with a two sets of plastic slides. You can’t help but be drawn to the large red spider web polygon. Proceed with cautious supervision. There are many benches. Outside the fenced in area are picnic tables and barbeques.
