This park is a well-kept secret among locals. Neatly tucked- into this neighborhood, the actual play area is set at the back of a large manicured lawn. There is perimeter fencing without gate closures. To accommodate ADA accessibility there is one long smooth asphalt path that winds down from the parking lot to the play area. There are two separate kids’ play structures, one for toddlers and one for big kids. Both are a combination of plastic and painted metal, situated over soft black padding and surrounded by wood chips. An imitation stone arch separates the two areas and doubles as a climbing wall. There is a fun water activity table in the adjoining sand box area which was, not surprisingly, clogged with sand. Each play area has a set of swings, two toddler full-bucket swings and two big kid swings respectfully. Your child will find many hours of fun here exploring the various slides, monkey bars, a tire swing and a play house. A short walk away are two tennis courts and a partial basketball court. Overall this is a beautiful place kids and pets can enjoy. Be aware that it can get very sunny but there is perimeter shade and plenty of benches, picnic tables and barbecues. In case you are curious, half of the parking lot was left intentionally unpaved to discourage skate boarding.
With the level grassy area and the way the picnic tables are grouped makes, this a good place for birthday parties. Call number to reserve.
Portable toilet near tennis court. Handicap accessible.
